DAY 1 : Lake Maggiore
400 KM & 6h
This morning, welcome briefing in Grenoble with the guide!
Let’s go !
We leave our beloved French Alps for Northern Italy.
We follow the Alps and spend the night on the shores of Lake Maggiore where it would be nice to have a fish dish, a local speciality.
DAY 2 : Bormio
250 KM & 5h
Along the shores of Lake Como, we enter the heart of the Alps.
After a stop in the beautiful city of Lugano, we will spend the night at the foot of the Stelvio Pass.
DAY 3 : Dolomites
300 KM & 5h
The sun is just rising over the mountains and we are already on our way to the Stelvio Pass, the second highest road pass in Europe at 2,758m. We enjoy a splendid view from the pass before plunging into the valley and crossing the northern Dolomites into the Austrian Alps.
It is the perfect evening to finish the meal with a delicious apple and honey strudel, the famous Austrian gourmet pastry.
DAY 4 : Slovenia
250 KM & 4h30
We wake up early today because this day will be rich in discoveries. We take off in the direction of Slovenia, crossing the Triglav over the beautiful cobbled Vršič Pass at an altitude of 1,611m. The Triglav is a true Slovenian national symbol with many legends.
We will stop at Ljubljana Castle in the heart of the Slovenian capital and spend the night in the quiet countryside after tasting Ajdovi žganci, a kind of stew and national dish.
DAY 5 : Lake Balaton (Hungary)
300 KM & 5h
This morning we drive on the hilly roads of eastern Slovenia.
We will make a diversion to Croatia and Szigliget Castle before ending our day in Hungary at Lake Balaton, one of the most beautiful lakes in Europe.
DAY 6 : Budapest & Danube Riverside
225 KM – 4h
Departure for Budapest, the Hungarian capital, founded by the fusion of Buda and Pest.
The architecture here is fabulously rich.
Tonight, at the easternmost point of the trip, a soothing sunset over the Basilica of Esztergom on the Danube awaits us, weather permitting.
DAY 7 : Vienna
220 KM – 3h30
Today we travel along the Danube, which forms the border between Hungary, Slovakia and Austria.
We spend the evening and the next day in the centre of Vienna, the Austrian capital, which dates back to the 6th century BC.
DAY 8 : Rest day in Vienna
0 KM & 0h
After a full week of road trip, we spend a day of rest in the heart of Vienna.
You are free to follow the tour guide on a walk in the historic centre of the Austrian capital, to take a horse-drawn carriage ride to discover the centre on your own or to enjoy a well-deserved rest at the hotel.
DAY 9 : St Gilgen
300 KM & 5h
Here we go again!
Fully rested after this day off, we leave the Austrian capital to head straight for the Tyrol and its most beautiful villages clinging to the mountains or on the edge of lakes.
We ride along the Attersee, a lake that has been inhabited since the Stone Age and offers turquoise water creeks.
Overnight in St. Gilgen, where you can enjoy an excellent Wiener Schnitzel, a breaded veal schnitzel and traditional dish.
DAY 10 : Innsbruck
290 KM & 5h
Early departure for the exclusive enjoyment of the beautiful village of Hallstatt. A postcard village on the banks of the eponymous lake.
Then we cross the Tyrol from east to west on beautiful roads that wind from village to village. We pass through Maria Alm and Kitzbuhel.
We spend the night near Ambras Castle in Innsbruck.
Not far from the Stubai glacier, the city is surrounded by no less than seven ski resorts and hosted the Olympic Games in 1964, 1976 and 2012.
DAY 11 : Davos
300 KM & 5h
Here we are again on the beautiful mountain roads of the Tyrol on our way to Switzerland. The spectacular landscapes of the heart of the Tyrol accompany us today. We stop in Alpbach, one of the most beautiful Austrian villages famous for its massive wooden chalets. At the end of the day we cross the Swiss border to our hotel for the night.

DAY 13 : Chamonix
330 KM & 5h30
Another spectacular day today with the ascent of the Gotthard Pass via the old paved road with 24 named turns.
Barely enough time to recover from the Gotthard before we attack the impressive Furka Pass.
Perched at 2,429m it is surrounded by polar blue glaciers and alpine roads overlooking green valleys crossed by the famous little red steam train.
Another long ride through the Sion valley will bring us after the Forclaz pass to Chamonix where we will spend the night in front of the 4,807 m high Mont Blanc.
We’re back in France! Home, sweet home!
DAY 14 : Grenoble
200 KM & 4h
For our last day we will cross the Aravis mountains, kingdom of the reblochon cheese. We ride along the old town of Annecy, known as the “Venice of the Alps” as its canals and old buildings are reminiscent of the Venetian capital.
We cross the Bauges and Chartreuse massifs before reaching Grenoble where this adventure ends, leaving us with a desire to leave again the next day.
